Summary : As a member of the IT Asset and Renewals Management Team with Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organisation whose primary mission is to provide world-class service to Rocketeers. As an integral member of the IT organisation, you will maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Working with the IT Asset and Renewals Management Manager, assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice (CMP) strategies, including policies and processes based on industry best practices.
- Ensure the maintenance of an accurate, up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts within the CMDB.
- Manage Rocket’s assets, such as software licenses, vendor contracts, and hardware, throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, usage, renewal, retirement, and disposal.
- Conduct timely compliance audits and publish appropriate management reporting on findings. Where Rocket is non-compliant or at risk of non-compliance, make recommendations for improvement and take corrective actions to return Rocket to compliance.
- Provide accurate and timely management reporting on the health of the ITAM and CMP processes, including asset usage details. Contribute to developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), program Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and metrics for ITAM and CMP.
- Ensure Rocket’s compliance with license agreements, relevant legislation, industry regulations and organisational policies related to assets.
- Help monitor the performance of all ITAM and CPM processes and contribute to the ITAM and CPM Continuous Service Improvement Plan.
- Management of Rocket’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy. Provide governance on creating and maintaining Configuration Items (CIs) and relationships within the CMDB.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to all IT team members in all aspects of ITAM and CPM.
Required Qualifications :
One (1) to three (3) years of IT Asset and Renewals Management experience in a fast-growing global organisation with a demonstrated pattern of increasing responsibility.Extensive knowledge of ITAM and Service Management tools, including Jira, Jira Insight, Confluence, ServiceNow, Oracle and Microsoft Office.Strong, demonstrable understanding of software licensing, including Microsoft and Oracle.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and think out of the box while paying attention to detail.Outstanding interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and emotional intelligence.ITSM Certification – ITIL FoundationExperience working in a culturally and geographically diverse team in a rapidly changing environment.Experience implementing, supporting, and improving ITIL best practices, including IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice, Change Management and Problem Management.Preferred Qualifications :
