About the Role :

We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic IT team supporting trading and capital markets applications. The ideal candidate will combine deep IT operations expertise with strong exposure to financial systems, trading platforms, or capital markets infrastructure. You will ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance while automating operational processes and collaborating with development teams to deliver resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Own the reliability, availability, and performance of trading and capital market systems across production, staging, and development environments.

Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation for high-availability applications.

Collaborate with development teams to drive automation, CI / CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, implement preventative measures, and improve service reliability.

Participate in on-call rotation and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.

Optimize system performance, capacity planning, and scalability for trading platforms.

Ensure compliance with IT security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards in financial systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies :

Strong experience in  IT operations ,  systems administration , and  infrastructure management .

Hands-on experience with  cloud platforms  (AWS, Azure, GCP) and  containerization / orchestration  (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with  monitoring & logging tools  (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack).

Solid scripting and automation skills ( Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform ).

Experience with  CI / CD pipelines , DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

Deep understanding of  trading systems, capital markets platforms, or financial technology applications .

Experience with databases (SQL / NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills with experience working in  global teams  and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Experience in high-frequency trading (HFT), equities, derivatives, or FX systems.

Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident / problem / change management frameworks.

Previous experience in a  24x7 production support environment .
