Role Description

The Event Sponsorship Manager will lead sponsorship efforts for events, focusing on enhancing partnerships and ensuring successful outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. Key responsibilities include strategizing sponsorship opportunities, managing sponsor relationships, planning and executing event sponsorship plans, creating marketing materials for outreach, and ensuring compliance with budgets.

  • Expertise in Event Management and Planning
  • Experience in Budgeting and financial planning for events
  • Excellent negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in organizational and time management abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a sponsorship or partnership role within the non-profit or education sector is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

1. Sponsorship Acquisition

  • Identify, pitch, and close sponsorship opportunities for EduSkills events and summits.
  • Develop customized sponsorship proposals aligned with sponsor objectives and event positioning.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of potential sponsors across sectors.
  • 2. Relationship Management

  • Build long-term, strategic partnerships with corporate leaders, HR heads, CSR teams, and marketing heads.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact before, during, and after events.
  • Ensure sponsors receive exceptional experience and deliverables.
  • 3. Proposal & Package Development

  • Create innovative sponsorship packages, tiered benefits, and ROI-driven offerings.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and events teams to prepare professional proposals, decks, and brochures.
  • 4. Event Coordination

  • Coordinate with the events team to ensure sponsorship commitments are fulfilled (branding, booths, speaking slots, etc.).
  • Manage sponsor onboarding, logistics, placement, and deliverables during events.
  • 5. Revenue & Target Ownership

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sponsorship targets.
  • Track performance metrics and maintain revenue dashboards.
  • Forecast sponsorship income for upcoming events.
  • 6. Market & Industry Research

  • Map industry trends, competitor events, sponsorship budgets, and new partnership avenues.
  • Identify emerging opportunities across EdTech, HR, tech, and CSR ecosystems.
  • 7. Branding & Communication

  • Collaborate with marketing for sponsor announcements, co-branded campaigns, and visibility assets.
  • Draft sponsor communication, meeting notes, follow-ups, and MoUs.
  • 8. Internal Collaboration

  • Work with Events, Partnerships, Membership, and HR Community teams to align sponsorship goals.
  • Support multi-event planning cycles and national conference roadmaps.
  • Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and pitching skills
  • Experience in sponsorship sales or corporate partnerships
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Target-driven and comfortable with revenue ownership
  • Professional proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Understanding of event marketing, branding, and audience engagement
  • Proactive, persistent, and relationship-focused
  • Good knowledge of CRM, MS Office, and industry networks
  • Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience in sponsorship sales, B2B partnerships, business development, or event management
  • Experience in education, HR, tech, or conferences is an advantage
