At SustainHealth, we pride ourselves in supporting remote health services in Australia with quality staff and encouraging new remote area staff with experiences and contracts that will help nurses upskill into Remote Area Nurse (RAN) positions.
Locations available in the NT :
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurses for short to long-term contracts providing primary healthcare services and emergency medicine to remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
There are flexible contracted positions available with FIFO contracts.
Start dates will vary depending on location, and length of availability.
In addition, we offer free travel to and from contract and free accommodation on-site for all contracts.
As a remote area nurse, you will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, providing education and support to patients and families on health-related issues, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
A nurse with existing remote area experience is desirable but will consider those with emergency or primary health nursing experience , but depending on years of experience, you may be eligible for a position.
As a minimum, you will need an ALS and Immunisation Giving cert for these contracts and while it is preferred that you have completed the Remote Emergency Care (REC) or equivalent, it is not essential.
If you are passionate about Aboriginal health and making a difference in the lives of those living in remote areas AND have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply!
At this time, we cannot offer sponsorship and you will need unrestricted AHPRA registration for all roles.
