Job Purpose

Behavioral Science Researcher position offers an excellent opportunity to apply behavioral and human-centered research methods to understand how healthcare workers, patients, and organisations engage with AI solutions in practice.

Job Outline

The Behavioral Science Researcher offers an excellent opportunity to apply advanced analytical and technical skills in evaluating and deploying AI models within real-world healthcare settings.

The Researcher will be responsible for (i) evaluating user interactions and interface design of AI tools, (ii) conducting field studies to assess usability, comprehension, and adoption patterns, (iii) measuring user trust, learning curves, and behavioral responses over time, (iv) identifying cognitive and organizational factors that influence sustained use, (v) assessing ethical and social implications of AI deployments, (vi) designing and executing mixed-method studies combining qualitative and quantitative insights, (vii) translating behavioral evidence into actionable design and policy recommendations, and (viii) collaborating closely with clinical, ML, and operations teams to refine deployment strategies.

Mandatory Experience

  • MS / PhD in Human–Computer Interaction, Behavioral Science, Digital Society or related field
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to work across technical, clinical, and social science teams
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • b. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • c. Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with partner organizations
  • Willingness to frequently travel to study sites to support pilot deployments
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in usability research, task analysis, or behavioral studies related to technology adoption
  • Demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods (e.g. system usability, cognitive walkthroughs) classification, natural language processing, or computer vision applications
  • Strong understanding of behavioral frameworks, social theory, and human factors in digital interventions

  • Key Responsibilities

    a. Evaluate AI solutions through a combination of desk-review and on-site travel

    b. Assess user interactions with AI solution interfaces; provide evidence-based recommendations on output design

    c. Evaluate user experience across different user types (e.g. learning curve, ease of use, uptake, retention, abandonment)

    d. Assess cognitive fit and interpretability of AI outputs (comprehension rate, heuristic alignment, actionability)

    e. Quantify user trust and reliability in AI-solutions over time

    f. Evaluate behavioral drivers influencing adoption at individual and organizational levels (e.g. incentives, reputation, professional identity, peer norms)

    g. Evaluate organizational and system-level structures that facilitate or hinder sustained use of AI solutions

    h. Assess the ethical, political, and social dimensions of AI deployments

    c. Collaborate with operations, clinical, and ML teams to translate findings into actionable design and deployment improvements
