Job description

Position : Pre-Acquisition Risk Strategy & Monitoring

Product / Function : Risk

Location : Gurgaon

Position Responsibilities :

1) Support in creation of approval / decline strategy basis credit risk scorecard

2) Categorization of the portfolio into high / medium / low risk & define subsequent treatment and verification strategies for assigned customer segments.

3) Support in dynamic adjustment of score cut-offs & limits to manage early delinquency

4) Monthly identification of stress segments and development of mitigation strategies.

5) Creation of early warning dashboards

6) Monitor if any customer Segments / polices / processes strategy is going out of the trends

7) Understanding Bureau products & services and leveraging the same for credit risk segmentation & strategies.

8) Implementation of automated policies and strategies in the system

9) UAT of strategy changes in decision engine

10) Detailed tracking of soft approval rates, decline reasons & final approval rates & highlight significant changes & steps to improve the same

11) Analysis of alternate data and its use in credit strategy

Measures of Success (Define the Outcomes expected of the role) :

  • Effective strategies which ensure portfolio quality in line with risk appetite (key metric : 30+6 MOB
  • Effective monitoring dashboards which are able to highlight early warning signs of stress in the portfolio

Skills Sets Required :

  • 4-8 years of work experience in risk or marketing roles.
  • Good working knowledge of SAS, Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of other quantitative tools like SPSS Modeler, SAS E Miner, and R etc. would be beneficial.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively within a team and be flexible to work on multiple projects
  • Self-starter, with demonstrable ability to work proactively and independently to drive results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Must have Qualification :

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in economics, statistics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, business, or related field with a strong quantitative emphasis.

    • Relevant Experience in a field :

  • Prior experience of working in Credit Card industry
  • Prior experience in strategy / policy role
