Legal Assistant (US Litigation)

Role Overview :
Collabera is currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to support one of its north American based customers Litigation and Labor & Employment legal team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with responding to records subpoenas, legal document review, data collection and litigation support and must be comfortable working across time zones in collaboration with U.S. based counsel.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent; additional U.S. legal education or certification is a plus
- 4+ years of experience in legal support, litigation or document review (law firm, corporate legal department or ALSP experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with U.S. litigation processes, especially subpoenas and records requests
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Highly proficient with the following software tools
- Microsoft 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.
- Document review tools such as Purview and Relativity
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Self-driven, operates with a sense of urgency, and resourcefulness
- Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
- Team player and positive attitude
- Ability to coordinate with U.S. business hours when needed
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate responses to U.S. third-party subpoenas including :Reviewing subpoenas for scope and required recordsCollecting and organizing responsive documents from various internal systems and teamsAssisting with redactions and confidentiality checksPreparing letters and response packetsMaintain accurate tracking logs of subpoenas, deadlines and response statusCommunicate effectively with U.S. based attorneys, paralegal and HR partnersAcknowledge and distribute Service of Process to appropriate stakeholdersAssist with Legal Hold Administration and reportingSupport eDiscovery data collection requestsPerform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned
