We are looking for an experienced API Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, and database management . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and integrations. Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus , and GraphQL will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot .
- Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and product managers to define and deliver robust backend solutions.
- Implement and maintain database schemas , queries, and stored procedures for high-performance data access.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Integrate messaging or event-driven systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus .
- Contribute to the design and development of GraphQL APIs (optional but preferred).
- Ensure best practices in coding standards, security, and version control (Git).
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.8+ years of professional experience in backend development.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot .Deep understanding of REST API design and implementation.Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).Solid understanding of OOPs , microservices architecture , and design patterns .Experience with CI / CD pipelines , version control (Git), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).Good to Have / Strong Plus :
Experience with Kafka , RabbitMQ , Azure Service Bus , or other messaging systems.Familiarity with GraphQL .Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure , AWS , or GCP .Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
