Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in Java and Spring framework to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust backend services and APIs that power our core platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality backend services and RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through efficient coding practices.
  • Implement secure data protection mechanisms and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for delivered projects.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 7–12 years of hands-on experience as a backend developer.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs , microservices architecture, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes .
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Proven track record of ownership and accountability in delivering backend solutions.

    • Preferred / Desirable Skills :

  • Experience working with large datasets and data analytics pipelines.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture.
  • Exposure to Python and / or Ruby on Rails .
  • Understanding of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
