Sr. product designer

Job Description

As a Sr. Product Designer UI / UX with a minimum of 5 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in designing and enhancing client's digital products, ensuring that they meet and exceed user expectations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including POs, BAs, other UX designers to create seamless and engaging user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Figma Expertise

Use Figma as the primary design and collaboration tool for wireframes, prototypes, and design handoffs.

Maintain design consistency by leveraging shared components and design systems.

Collaborate effectively within Figma for reviews, feedback, and version management.

User-Centric Design

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.

Create intuitive, high-fidelity prototypes that address business challenges and user needs.

Ensure designs reflect empathy, accessibility, and a seamless user journey.

Workflow Optimization

Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance collaboration.

Promote design maturity by refining workflows and adopting best practices.

Align design decisions with both business outcomes and user goals.

Design Operations

Work within a Design Ops framework and coordinate with the central Design System team.

Contribute to reusable assets, patterns, and documentation for scalability.

Ensure consistency and efficiency across product design processes.

Project Management

Manage workload and priorities effectively while meeting project timelines.

Communicate project status, dependencies, and expectations clearly with stakeholders.

Balance multiple deliverables without compromising quality or attention to detail.

Customer Advocacy

Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring designs are insight-driven, not assumption-based.

Facilitate feedback loops with users and stakeholders before finalizing designs.

Keep user needs at the center of every decision-making process.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with designers, developers, and product managers in a collaborative setup.

Present design rationale and key decisions effectively to varied audiences.

Foster a transparent, feedback-driven, and inclusive team culture.

Design Process Evangelism

Champion user-centric design thinking across teams and departments.

Help refine and institutionalize improved design processes and tools.

Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of design excellence.

Regulatory Responsibilities & Risk Management

Demonstrate integrity, diligence, and fairness in all professional conduct.

Manage risks responsibly, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Commit to continuous professional growth and adherence to ethical standards.

Skills & Experience Requirements

Experience (5–7 years) : Strong exposure to large corporate environments, preferably within the Financial Industry.

Saa S Dashboard Experience : Experience designing Saa S dashboards with complex data visualization.

Securities Platform Knowledge : Prior experience working on securities platforms (e.g., stocks, mutual funds, investment products) with an understanding of how advisor portals function—especially for managing multiple client portfolios.

Journey-Based Design Expertise : Skilled in journey-based prototyping and design, with fluency in creating end-to-end user journeys that drive both business and user outcomes.

Usability Principles : Deep understanding of usability principles and techniques to ensure designs are intuitive, functional, and effective.

Communication Skills : Exceptional ability to articulate design rationale clearly, confidently explaining the “why” behind design decisions.

Stakeholder Management : Proven ability to engage with stakeholders and interact directly with end-users to gather insights, validate ideas, and align solutions.

Collaborative Team Experience : Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams with strong collaboration and alignment.

Agile Environment Exposure : Hands-on experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Technical Understanding : Good understanding of software development processes to support seamless handoffs and realistic design implementation.
