Position Title : Reporting Analyst / SQL & VBA Reporting Specialist

Location : Bangalore (Work-from-Office)

Work Shift : Rotational

Notice Period : 30-45 days

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst who will develop, maintain, and support reporting solutions using SQL, MS Access, DB2, and VBA macros. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely reports and insights that support data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts using SQL, MS Access, DB2, and VBA macros

Create, optimize, and troubleshoot stored procedures, queries, and scripts to support business reporting needs

Automate repetitive tasks and reporting workflows using VBA macros

Perform data validation, cleansing, and integrity checks to ensure accuracy

Collaborate with business users / stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical reports

Generate ad hoc reports and respond to analytical or data requests

Monitor report execution, performance, and resolve failovers or errors

Document report logic, data sources, and processes

Suggest improvements or optimizations for reporting systems, processes, or efficiencies

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree (any stream)

3–6 years of hands-on experience in SQL, MS Access, DB2

Strong knowledge of VBA macros and automation

Experience in reporting, data extraction, and data manipulation

Ability to debug, maintain, and optimize complex queries and macros

Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and logical reasoning

Ability to manage rotating shifts and meet deadlines

Preferred / 'Good to Have'

Experience in business intelligence tools or dashboards

Prior exposure to ETL or data warehousing

Knowledge of performance tuning of SQL / DB2 queries

Prior experience in a similar reporting / MIS role

Working Conditions & Other Details

Role is fully office-based (WFO)

Rotational shift (might include odd hours)

Candidates should be ready to join within 30–45 days
