JD : Looking for a Data Engineering Lead with extensive experience in ETL and Data Pipeline development. Must have recent hands-on experience in DBT for data transformations and modeling. Proficiency in SQL and modern data stack tools is essential

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Strategy : Design, build, and own our DBT project architecture. Define and implement standards for modeling, testing, documentation, and deployment.

Technical Leadership : Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data analysts and engineers in DBT best practices. Conduct code reviews and foster a culture of excellence.

Own the Core Platform : Manage and optimize our DBT Cloud / CLI environment, CI / CD pipelines, and integration with Snowflake / BigQuery / etc.

Drive Efficiency : Implement and advocate for software engineering best practices in our data stack (version control, modular code, testing, and documentation).

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analytics engineers to understand requirements and deliver robust, scalable data models.

What We're Looking For :

7+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2+ years as a hands-on DBT expert.

Proven experience leading a DBT project at scale (e.g., managing multiple contributors, complex dependencies, and performance tuning).

Deep knowledge of SQL, data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault), and modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.).

Hands-on experience setting up and managing CI / CD for DBT and proficiency with Git.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and mentor team members.
