Role Description :

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager Fleet (Sales & Operations) at QWQER in Bengaluru.
  • The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing fleet sales, operations, implementing, managing operations, and optimizing fleet management strategies on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to acquire new fleet customers and expand market share. Build and maintain strong relationships with key fleet customers (e.g., corporate clients, government agencies).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the fleet market.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

Fleet Operations Management :

  • Oversee all aspects of fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, fuel management, and driver management.
  • Implement and manage operational processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective fleet utilization.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Fleet Management Strategy & Optimization :

  • Develop and implement long-term fleet management strategies aligned with business objectives. Optimize fleet size and composition to meet evolving business needs.
  • Explore and implement innovative fleet management technologies (e.g., telematics, route optimization software).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve fleet management processes and procedures.
  • Team Leadership & Management :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of fleet professionals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Delegate effectively and empower team members to take ownership of their work.
  • Financial Management :

  • Manage fleet budgets and control costs effectively.
  • Monitor and analyze fleet-related expenses to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for fleet operations.
  • Compliance & Safety : Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Implement and maintain safety programs to minimize accidents and injuries. Investigate and address safety incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Supply Chain Management & Logistics :

  • Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and improve delivery times.
  • Qualifications :

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in fleet management roles, with a proven track record of success. Strong understanding of fleet management principles, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven experience in fleet operations management, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, fuel management, and driver management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and logistics principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
  • Location : South India (Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad).
