Bethanie is a leading not for profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
We’re on a mission to create a better world not just for ageing Australians, but their communities as well, and we believe that to make this difference, you need the right people by your side.
We are currently seeking a qualified Therapy Assistant to facilitate therapy and lifestyle programs for our residents across two of our Aged Care Homes, Bethanie Subiaco and Bethanie Gwelup. Bethanie Subiaco is a 112 bed luxury facility with an active social calendar that provides a full range of aged care services including dementia support. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Gwelup is home to 112 beds across two floors, including a dementia specific wing, and has been designed and built to maximise our residents’ enjoyment and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone with a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. Our Therapy Assistants have an enthusiastic and creative approach to their work and are able to support and cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests.
An important component of this role is the ability to work autonomously and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions independently. You will be able to work under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, while also being confident in using your initiative and creative thinking to ensure sessions run smoothly.
This role is offered on a casual basis to cover leave and other absences, and as such does not have a set roster. The successful applicant must have some availability on week days - particularly Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We expect to be able to offer at least two shifts per week across both sites.
