About Breakout
Breakout is an inbound AI SDR used by companies like CaptivateIQ, Ketch, and AirGarage to turn website visitors into hand-raisers. We’re early, founder-led, and laser-focused on the US market. This is our first sales hire. You’ll shape the playbook from day one.
About the Role
We’re building Breakout’s go-to-market engine from the ground up. As our Founding SDR to AE, you’ll own the full outbound motion : targeting focus accounts, researching prospects, crafting personalized sequences, and booking sales calls. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the founder to iterate fast, fail forward, and eventually close deals.
This is an outbound-only role with a clear path to owning accounts. You’ll report directly to the founder and partner tightly with Marketing & Product to refine targeting, share prospect insights, and evolve our sequences.
On any given day you might find yourself :
Nurture target account lists and book qualified sales calls
Research companies and build high-intent prospect lists
Develop and execute multi-touchpoint outbound campaigns
Deeply understand customer GTM challenges and position Breakout as the solution
Partner with Marketing & Product to sharpen targeting and outbound playbooks
Help blueprint scalable sales processes for Breakout’s next phase
About You
You might be a good fit if you thrive in ambiguity and want to build something big. Ideally, you bring :
Outbound SDR experience selling marketing or GTM tools
Proven ability to research prospects and personalize outreach at scale
Excellent written / verbal communication
An iterative, experiment-driven mindset; comfortable failing fast
Passion or curiosity for AI GTM tools
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Marketing, CS, etc.)
Enterprise experience is a plus, not required
Comfort in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
Even Better If You
Are proficient with the SaaS GTM stack (Apollo, Smartlead, Clay, LGM, etc.)
Find ways to stay up on the latest trends in AI
Have experience with tech
Stay upbeat, understanding that each no is one closer to a yes
