About the Role
We are looking for a Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our company’s supply chain and logistics operations. The role involves managing warehousing, transportation, and distribution while ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and coordinate all logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and internal departments.
- Manage vendor and carrier relationships to ensure optimal service levels.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
- Oversee order processing, shipment scheduling, and tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics with overall business goals.
- Handle customs documentation and regulatory compliance for imports / exports (if applicable).
- Supervise and train logistics staff, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field .Strong understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and transportation management .Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel .Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Preferred Skills
Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or Six Sigma).Experience with international shipping and customs procedures .Familiarity with route optimization software or TMS / WMS platforms .Exposure to Lean or Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory methods.
