Summarized Purpose :
As a Senior IT Project Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will lead complex, enterprise-wide IT projects and programs, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation. You'll collaborate across functions to deliver strategic technology solutions that support our mission of promoting global health, environmental sustainability, and safety.
Education / Experience :
- Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of IT project management experience, including large-scale enterprise implementations
- Preferred Fields of Study : Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or preferred
- Agile / Scrum certifications (SAFe, CSM, etc.) preferred
Major Job Responsibilities :
Manage intricate IT projects and programs on a large scaleApply both traditional and agile methodologies to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources across teamsCultivate positive relationships with business collaborators, vendors, and technical teamsEnsure successful project delivery while maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirementsCultivate a culture of constant improvement and ingenuity in project management approachesManage distributed teams and external vendorsDeliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraintsPerform risk management and issue resolutionBuild and manage project budget and forecastsMust Have skills :
Proficient knowledge in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and WaterfallExperience with project / portfolio management tools (MS Project, Planview, Jira, etc.)Demonstrated success managing complex technical projects in regulated environments (GxP, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)Outstanding financial foresight and proficiency in budget managementDemonstrated ability to guide and collaborate across multiple teams and organizational levelsStrong communication and presentation skills, demonstrated in written and verbal formsImpressive communication and presentation expertise, facilitating influence among different levels and functionsProficiency with MS Office suite and project management softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skills good judgement in complex or ambiguous situationsDemonstrated ownership and dedication to achieving project and organizational goalsMotivates, empowers, and develops teams through trust and collaborationSolid business insight - links project results to overall business strategy and customer valueKnowledge of change management principles and methodologiesAdaptable and growth-focused embraces change and always strives for improvementGood to have skills :
