Design & Technology Assistant

As the first Steiner School in Australia, Glenaeon has a fine heritage of pioneering work in innovative education dating back to our origins in 1957. We now educate up to 500 students from Preschool to Year 12 across three campuses at Castlecrag, Middle Cove and Willoughby on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.

We currently have an opportunity for a part-time DT Assistant to support our Design & Technology Teachers. The DT Assistant works 10 hours per week, across two days during school terms only. In this role, you will prepare materials for classes, recalibrate and maintain equipment and machinery, order and restock materials and supplies, organise the workshop for classes and undertake clean-up / safety housekeeping in the workshop.

The ideal person will be someone with prior workshop experience including expertise in carpentry, plus other relevant experience in metal work, digital D&T (e.g. working on projects using 3-D printers) or another artisan / trade skill. WHS experience including risk assessments and working with SDS documents would be also an advantage.
