About the Role
We’re growing our Custom Data Platform team in Pune and looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who loves solving complex data challenges with clarity and empathy.
This team powers two of Zendesk’s most important features : Custom Objects and Custom Fields, giving our customers the flexibility to model and manage their business data in their own way.
Your work will help shape how AI and automation use structured data at Zendesk enabling faster insights, smoother workflows, and more delightful experiences for millions of users.
What You’ll Do :
Shape the strategy and roadmap for Custom Objects and Custom Fields, aligning them with Zendesk’s broader data and extensibility vision.
Collaborate across teams such as engineering, design, product marketing, and customer success to deliver thoughtful, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Listen deeply to customers and partners to uncover needs, simplify complexity, and find elegant solutions to tough data challenges.
Champion adoption and growth by making our data products intuitive and easy to use.
Use data and insights to guide decisions, measure success, and keep improving.
Contribute to our API platform and catalog, expanding how customers connect and extend Zendesk.
What You Bring :
5+ years of product management experience in SaaS or enterprise software.
Strong technical understanding of APIs, databases, data modeling, or platform extensibility.
Curiosity for customer workflows and how structured data powers great experiences.
Familiarity with event streams and large-scale systems that handle billions of transactions.
Clear and open communication, with the ability to bring people along with your vision.
A track record of delivering complex, high-impact features in collaboration with engineering.
Bonus :
Experience with customer service, ITSM, or CRM platforms.
Familiarity with low-code / no-code environments or developer ecosystems.
Prior experience with Custom Objects, Custom Fields, or similar data-driven features.
Please note that Zendesk can only hire candidates who are physically located and plan to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra. Please refer to the location posted on the requisition for where this role is based.
Hybrid : In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
