Marketing & Communication Specialist

In this role, you will impact on the organization by creating compelling narratives and communication strategies that resonate with employees and stakeholders, ultimately contributing to a positive organizational culture and enhanced employee morale

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with Honeywell's organizational goals and values, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
  • Create compelling storyboards that effectively convey key messages and enhance brand visibility, utilizing creative approaches to engage various audiences.
  • Manage and curate content for internal platforms such as Yammer and SharePoint, ensuring timely and relevant updates that keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Produce high-quality communication materials, including videos, newsletters, and presentations, that resonate with diverse audiences and promote Honeywell's initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and share success stories that highlight Honeywell's innovations and achievements, fostering a sense of pride and ownership among employees.
  • Drive engagement initiatives that foster a positive organizational culture, enhance employee morale and promote a sense of community within the workplace.
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, make data-driven recommendations for improvement and ensure continuous enhancement of communication efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications to continuously elevate Honeywell's communication strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

MAJOR KPIs

  • Development and execution of storyboards : Measure the effectiveness of storyboards created for various communication initiatives. This includes assessing how well they convey key messages, engage the audience, and align with organizational goals. Success can be evaluated through feedback from stakeholders and the impact on audience engagement.
  • Engagement metrics on Yammer and SharePoint : Track the level of employee interaction on internal platforms. Key metrics include the number of likes, shares, comments, and overall participation rates. High engagement levels indicate effective communication and a strong connection with employees, while low engagement may signal the need for strategy adjustments.
  • Quality and frequency of communications : Assess the consistency and quality of communication materials produced, such as videos, newsletters, and presentations. This includes evaluating the clarity of messaging, visual appeal, and relevance to the audience. Additionally, monitor the frequency of communications to ensure regular updates and engagement with employees.
  • Employee feedback and satisfaction : Gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, or informal discussions to measure employee satisfaction with internal communications. This feedback can provide insights into how communication efforts resonate with employees and identify areas for improvement.
  • Successful execution of campaigns : Evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns by measuring their impact on organizational culture and employee morale. This can include tracking participation rates in engagement initiatives, assessing changes in employee sentiment, and analyzing the overall success of campaigns in driving positive influence within the organization.\

  • YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field : A foundational understanding of marketing principles and communication strategies is essential for developing effective campaigns and materials.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in marketing communications, preferably within a corporate environment : Demonstrated success in creating and executing communication strategies that engage employees and enhance brand visibility is crucial.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills : The ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages tailored to various audiences is vital for effective communication.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms : Familiarity with tools such as Yammer, SharePoint, and video production software is necessary to manage content and engage employees effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills : The ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build relationships across the organization is essential for driving engagement and fostering a positive culture.
  • Strong analytical skills : The capability to assess communication effectiveness and derive insights from data to inform strategy and improve outcomes is critical for success in this role.
