The Team

Digital Technology Services (DTS) is a part of the Digital Solutions corporate function. Within DTS, the Business Management team is committed to achieving optimal business performance, seamless vendor relationships, maintaining sound financial stewardship, and effectively delivering value to our customers.

High-Level Role Description

The Cross Functional Initiatives Lead and Portfolio Manager is tasked with driving strategic initiatives across multiple value streams with DTS and supporting the Product Enablement and Assurance technology tower within DTS as their Value Stream Manager. This role requires a keen ability to manage complex dependencies, align initiatives with strategic objectives, and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities and Impact

• Lead Strategic Initiatives : Drive the creation, development, governance, and execution of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring they align with strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Escalate, track, and eliminate impediments as needed. Provide overall program governance utilizing agile processes to ensure all activities, risks and scope are managed appropriately.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with the Value Stream Owner, Product Management, and other stakeholders to ensure initiatives are well-defined, documented, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
• Agile Portfolio Lifecycle Management : Lead creation of Epics and MVPs, in collaboration with the Value Stream Owner, Product Manager, and Epic Owners. Guide Epics through the Portfolio Kanban, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic priorities and objectives. Presents Epics to Lean Portfolio Management stakeholders for Go / No-Go and helps decide when an Epic is done.
• Risk Mitigation : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and dependencies across value streams, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives. Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate channels ensuring that stakeholders are proactively informed.
• Cross-Functional Coordination : Facilitate collaboration among various teams and stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution of initiatives / epics and effective communication of progress and outcomes.
• Health Reporting : Provide regular updates and health reporting on initiatives to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
