About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Assessment Content Creator to design, develop, and refine high-quality assessment materials across various domains.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in instructional design , subject-matter expertise , and experience in creating engaging and valid test items that accurately measure learning outcomes and competencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Development : Create high-quality assessment items (e.G., multiple-choice questions, case studies, simulations, scenario-based tasks, etc.) aligned with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.
- Blueprint Alignment : Ensure that assessments reflect appropriate cognitive levels (Bloom’s taxonomy or equivalent) and map to the desired skills or standards.
- Quality Assurance : Review, edit, and validate items for accuracy, clarity, difficulty level, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Collaboration : Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, psychometricians, and other stakeholders to ensure content validity and reliability.
- Item Bank Management : Organize, categorize, and maintain assessment items within the internal database or LMS.
- Data-Driven Improvement : Analyse test performance data (e.G., item difficulty, discrimination index) to refine and improve assessment quality.
- Research & Innovation : Stay updated on assessment trends, item formats, and emerging technologies (AI, adaptive testing, etc.).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional Design, or a relevant subject area (depending on content domain).Proven experience in assessment design or content creation, preferably in an EdTech or academic context.Strong command of English grammar, clarity, and question-writing principles.Familiarity with competency frameworks and assessment validity concepts.Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI-assisted content creation tools or LMS / assessment platforms.Background in psychometrics or test analysis.Ability to write for diverse audiences (K–12, higher education, corporate learning, etc.).Exposure to adaptive testing, gamified assessments, or scenario-based learning.Key Competencies
