Lead Software Engineer (MERN)

Role

Hands-on ownership (~70% IC). Design, build, and scale MERN applications. Lead technical decisions, mentor a small team, and deliver production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement

backend APIs, services, and microservices

using Node.js + TypeScript

Build

high-performance frontends

with React (Hooks, state management, optimization)

Design

MongoDB schemas, indexes, aggregations , and data flows

Implement

auth, caching, eventing, rate-limits, queues, CI / CD

Ensure code quality, SOLID, test coverage, performance and security

Debug bottlenecks, conduct reviews, and unblock engineers

Collaborate closely with product / design to ship features with clear timelines

Requirements

6–10 yrs experience; 4+ yrs in

Node.js + React + TypeScript

Proven experience with REST, microservices, async patterns

Strong fundamentals in MongoDB

and distributed architecture

Exposure to

Docker, CI / CD, monitoring, logging

Redis / ElasticSearch / Next.js / message queues
