What we are looking for :
The roles involves the day to day running of WASAPL Integra workshop and site welding teams. WASAPL Integra workshop is a welding, rebuilding and fabrication facility which specialises in the rebuilding of worn components and fabrication of new wear resistant components.
WASAPL’s on-site Service specialises in the rebuilding of vertical mills (tyres and table liners), RPR -for cement and refurbishment and supply of rolls for steel industry.
The Position will be responsible for :
Estimation of RFQs for the sales team, liaising with the Integra workforce to monitor job progress and QA documentation.To liaise with a 3rd party inspection agency, supplier and sub contractors.Workshop and site safety and best practices (5S implementation and improvement progression).Production Planning and organisation to ensure that sufficient consumables and outsourced items are available for progressive work.Main responsibilities :
Managing the Integra team, (Engineers and Welders), either on-site or in the workshop.Preparing estimation for the Sales RFQ s.The scheduling, planning and efficient carrying out of Integra work.Management of welding processes / procedures and job activities effectively.Vendor development for outsourced activity like machining and fabrication.The maintaining of QA documented records in line with QMS.Monitoring and reviewing of job reports and MoMs- on individual Projects.Ensuring all machines and equipment are maintained and in good working order.Health and safety of the workforce.Annual stock taking of consumables & SparesTo effectively participate in regular strategic meetings with the Integra BU Manager and Project Manager.To follow and implement the local strategy in line with WA Group’s strategy.Decision making authority :
Authority to make decisions inside own area of responsibility.Management / Liaison with other Integra personnel.Management / Liaison with subcontractors.Key Metric :
In-house and on-site customer satisfaction.Reduction in production costs, equipment down time and material wastage.Keep good documented records which enable valid contributions to be made to QA / QC.Reduction of incidents (HSE).Time keeping, 5S housekeeping and organisation.Health and Safety of the workforce.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience required :
Technical qualification in Welding Engineering.Good practical knowledge in both Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering and management of people.Must be able to create welding procedures and instructions (good welding knowledge and welding / hard facing ability), good knowledge about welding equipment and accessories.Demonstrated general business understanding and cost of manufacturing.Proactive utilization of the existing resources (effective management and planning).Good organizer and problem solver.Good leadership skills (able to organize and control workforce).Good communication skills in order to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.Willingness and ability to travel to visit customers.Proficient in MS Office etc.and working knowledge in AutoCAD.Main Job / role (Customer, people, Finance, Process)
Estimation of Sales RFQ.Production Planning.To deliver in full and on time Integra welding / hardfacing services in-house.To ensure that all defined quality and maintenance protocols are followed, and that scheduled delivery dates are adhered to.To look after the welfare of the welding team (Safety and wellbeing).Recording the Integra Production data on a regular basis.To ensure that the ERP System is maintained and utilized correctly.To ensure that there is a system of continuous improvement and learning in the Integra department (Junior Engineer and welding team).HSE

Must be willing to work in Hyderabad, but also be prepared for domestic and international travel (depending on project requirements).
