Job descriptionBSc in Nursing + > Valid BLS + ACLS Prometric exam passed in OMSB and Data flow. Specialized Surgical Nurse + > Non-specialized + > Systematically assesses, triage patients and allocate them to the appropriate treatment area. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans for all Surgical cases. Monitors patient’s vital signs and initiates whenever the patient displays adverse symptoms. Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications; and reports adverse reactions to medications. Proves knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and surgical care. Assists with the insertion or discontinuation of central venous catheters, arterial lines, chest drains and endotracheal tubes. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators, ECG, ABG and analyses lab results. Involves in education and teaching of patients and caregivers. Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of MCMSS. Performs all duties assigned to his designation. Performs all relevant interventions related to his / her field of specialization. Completes and maintains her / his set of clinical privileges. Performs other duties as assigned / directed by the chairperson / head of the department.

Education / Qualifications :
- BSc in Nursing + Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Nursing + >
3 years’ experience in the area of specialty.
5 years’ experience in the area of specialty.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Salary will be based upon qualifications, experience and availability of vacancies, using Oman Medical Bylaw.
