Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting service excellence through strong contract management? We have an exciting opportunity as a Contract Officer , where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our service contracts are administered effectively and compliantly.
The Role :
As a Contract Officer, you will provide essential administrative and compliance support to the Director of Contracts in managing the Communicare Group’s service agreements. You will ensure the smooth delivery of services through accurate record keeping, compliance monitoring, and contract administration. The role will be based at our Cannington office. This position has the opportunity to work on a permanent full time basis, working 76 hours a fortnight, or on a permanent part time basis to suit candidate needs, such as school hours.
In this role you will :
Maintain accurate contract records, databases, and registers, ensuring key dates and obligations are tracked.
Assist with contract preparation, review, execution, and administrative processes including variations and renewals.
Support monitoring of contract deliverables, compliance, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
Contribute to audits, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives under the Contract
About You
You’re someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and enjoys supporting operational excellence through strong administrative processes. You bring a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn, with a keen interest in developing your skills in contract management.
In addition to the above you will have :
Relevant qualifications in business administration, legal studies, or related discipline or equivalent capability from experience in related roles.
Good understanding of compliance and risk management principles.
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Interest in developing expertise in contract management.
National Police Clearance, and willingness to obtain Department of Justice Clearance
Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector (Desirable)
Knowledge of government funding contracts and procurement processes (Desirable)
