About the job :

Desired Experience Range : 12 - 18 years

Location of Requirement : Delhi NCR, India

Required Technical Skillset :

  • Experience in Testing / deployment / Solution Documentation.
  • Hands-on experience on MME / AMF, P / SGW / SMF, UPF, PRF / PCF.
  • Detailed understanding of protocol knowledge of Diameter, GTP, SIP, RESTful.

Must Have : Experienced Telecom Network engineer having experience in testing EPC / IMS / 5G Core networks. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of telecom protocols and 3GPP procedures, alongside strong skills in test strategy development, test planning, and test execution. Basic automation and scripting knowledge, as well as strong analytical and debugging skills, are essential for this role.

Responsibilities :

Testing & Validation :

  • Design and execute test plans for functional, performance, regression, and interoperability testing of 4G EPC, 5G Core (NSA / SA), and IMS components.
  • Validate network functions such as MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, HSS, PCRF, CSCF, MGCF / MGW, BGCF, TAS server etc
  • Use telecom test tools (e.g., Spirent, iperf) to simulate traffic and validate KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and customer-specific requirements.

    • Test Automation :

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
  • Integrate test automation into CI / CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
  • Build reusable test libraries and frameworks for continuous validation of CNFs / VNFs.

    • Deployment Support :

  • Collaborate with deployment and DevOps teams to validate automated deployments in OpenStack, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
  • Perform smoke testing and health checks post-deployment.

    • Bug Reporting & Collaboration :

  • Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Work closely with the product development team to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Provide detailed logs, diagnostics, and test cases to support root cause analysis.

    • Documentation :

  • Create and maintain test strategy documents, test cases, test reports, and automation guides.
  • Contribute to technical documentation such as HLD, LLD, and SOPs from a testing perspective.
