Lead data engineer

Role Overview :

We’re looking for a Lead data engineer and ML Analyst with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and ML-based solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Design and manage scalable ETL / ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, and Kafka / Kinesis.

Architect and implement data lake and warehouse solutions following best practices.

Build and deploy ML models for classification, prediction, and anomaly detection.

Automate workflows and orchestration with Airflow or Step Functions.

Enable self-service analytics through tools like Thought Spot and Quick Sight Q.

Ensure data integrity, security, governance, and compliance.

Mentor and support junior engineers to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, and ML.

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

Hands-on experience with AWS data stack (Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lambda).

Proven expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and performance optimization.

Experience deploying ML models using scikit-learn, XGBoost, or Sage Maker.

Exposure to big data frameworks (Spark / EMR).

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with LLM frameworks (Lang Chain, Bedrock, Vector DBs, RAG).

Familiarity with MLOps, feature stores, and model versioning.

Prior team leadership or ownership of end-to-end projects.

AWS, Data Engineering, or ML certifications and / or open-source contributions.
