08 The Team :

The Financial Modeling Group provides expert services for our most sophisticated analytical tools so that we can provide clients with a tailored experience when using our products. This global, seasoned team specializes in onboarding and client adoption for our Excel add-ins, Office Tools products, Screening and Platform customization, and Proprietary Data capabilities. Comprised of former investment professionals, CFA charterholders, and MBA's, Financial Modeling is charged with understanding our clients' needs and objectives and providing solutions to enhance their workflows. As a member of Financial Modeling, you will become proficient in the Visible Alpha and Capital IQ Pro applications.

As corporate finance and Excel modeling experts, Senior Application Associates spend their time consulting with clients about our Excel add-in solutions (Capital IQ Pro / Capital IQ / Visible Alpha) and how best to implement S&P Global data within their financial models. The models involved are related to valuation, ownership, estimates, charts, and other content sets. Senior Application Associates also create and convert financial models from competing platforms for our clients. Additionally, they build and maintain ~500 pre-built templates made available via the combined Capital IQ Pro, Capital IQ and Visible Alpha Excel add-in Template Libraries.

The Impact :

The Financial Modeling Group is one of the primary touchpoints for our clients, and you will be the face of the organization. Your regular day would require you to build models, screens, presentations, answer client queries and be an advocate of our products while showcasing your vast knowledge of our tools and data. In addition to working with our clients, you will also work with our Commercial team on winning and retaining business, with our Product team on future enhancements, and with our Client Services team on training, requests and client queries.

Responsibilities :

Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Visible Alpha, Capital IQ Pro and Capital IQ data and leverage existing capabilities to create new and innovative solutions.

Ability to understand client-specific requirements across all covered data sets and products.

Work with clients across multiple geographies including North America, EMEA and APAC and address their requirements.

Create quantitative models, screens and presentations, among others, for our clients using our suite of products.

Identify and create new model solutions utilizing the expertise gained from all datasets and applications.

Support our client base in their research by responding to requests that come through calls, e-mails and meetings.

Partner with Product Management on timely and thorough testing of our products, with an eye towards an exceptional client experience.

Consistently make proactive suggestions around product usability, presentation and data quality.

Work with product experts on projects which develop and improve subject matter expertise.

Drive Team initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities to support the culture of learning and development.

Create new opportunities for Automation and LEAN to improve workflow efficiency.

What We're Looking For :

Basic Qualifications :

Master's Degree in Finance or Business.

2 to 4 years of relevant experience working with people and our products.

Strong understanding and knowledge of the fundamentals of business, financial statements and investments. Proficient in research and analysis.

Experience supporting clients with client-facing products is a strong advantage.

Understanding of different requirement of clients and how they use and analyze our models

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.

Significant Project Management, Strategic Planning, Operations Management, and Client Support Management skills.

Successfully implemented business improvements across multiple areas of the business.

Strong team player with excellent people skills. Ability to build good relationships at all levels, locally as well as globally.

Experience in dealing with different product suites and databases.

Strong communication, interpersonal skills & strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong technical skills preferred - Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, VBA and Salesforce.

Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
