Reporting To : Vice Chancellor / President The Director – Pharmacy will provide visionary academic and administrative leadership to the School of Pharmacy. The role demands a seasoned academician with strong industry connect, deep understanding of regulatory compliance (PCI / AICTE / UGC), exceptional people leadership skills, and experience in building high-performing academic institutions. This position will lead the overall development, accreditation, research ecosystem, teaching excellence, student outcomes, and strategic partnerships for the Pharmacy Department. Academic Leadership & Program Management Lead the design, review, and enhancement of all Pharmacy programs (D.Pharm, M.Pharm, Ph.Drive academic quality, innovative pedagogy, and digital learning initiatives. Oversee effective execution of teaching plans, timetables, exams, and assessment systems. Regulatory & Compliance Management Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory and regulatory bodies (PCI, AICTE, UGC, NAAC). Manage audits, inspections, documentation, and timely approvals. Build a strong research culture with focus on high-quality publications, patents, funded projects, and collaborations. Mentor faculty and students in research and project development. Attract, develop, and retain highly competent faculty and research scholars. Implement faculty development programs, performance evaluations, and mentoring frameworks. Lead succession planning and capacity building within the School of Pharmacy. Student Success & Experience Strengthen student discipline, welfare, counseling, placements, and higher education pathways. Drive student employability through skill development, internships, industrial training, and certification programs. Develop strong collaborations with pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, research labs, and government bodies. Promote MoUs, internships, workshops, guest lectures, and joint research initiatives. Administrative, Financial & Infrastructure Management Lead planning and execution of academic events, conferences, and seminars. Qualifications & Experience D. in Pharmacy (mandatory). Minimum 15+ years of academic experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as HOD / Dean / Director. Proven track record in PCI / AICTE compliance, institutional development, and academic leadership. Experience in managing large teams, interdisciplinary collaboration, and student development.
