Role Overview
The Inside Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling products / services remotely (via phone, email, chat or virtual meetings) rather than via field / face-to-face sales. The role involves generating leads, qualifying prospects, nurturing relationships, converting leads to customers, managing the pipeline, and collaborating with marketing, product and customer success teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and generate new sales opportunities through outbound calls, emails, social outreach and lead databases.
- Handle inbound enquiries (phone, email, chat) and convert them into qualified sales leads.
- Understand customer needs and requirements, and present / position the organisation’s products or services accordingly.
- Manage the full sales cycle – from lead generation, qualification, negotiation, to closure and hand-over to fulfilment / delivery if applicable.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate customer data, activity logs, pipeline status and opportunity updates.
- Work closely with marketing, product and service teams to ensure consistent messaging, product knowledge and lead hand-offs.
- Achieve and exceed monthly / quarterly / annual sales targets and metrics (calls, leads, conversion rate, revenue).
- Provide exceptional customer service, follow-up on sales leads, nurture existing customers for upsell / cross-sell opportunities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, product changes and market dynamics.
- Provide feedback from customers to product / service teams to help refine offerings, pricing, positioning.
