Job description

Payroll Management

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in earnings, deductions, and benefits.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee compensation data.
  • Calculate statutory deductions like PF, ESI, TDS, PT, Gratuity, and LWF.
  • Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement.
  • Address payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory laws and regulations, including but not limited to :
  • Provident Fund (PF)
  • Employee State Insurance (ESI)
  • Professional Tax (PT)
  • Income Tax (TDS)
  • Shops & Establishment Act
  • Factories Act
  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Liaise with government authorities and auditors for inspections or audits.
  • Maintain and regularly update labor law registers and statutory records.
  • Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of licenses and registrations.
  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit payroll and compliance reports to management.
  • Maintain employee records related to appointments, exits, compensation, and statutory compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory obligations.
  • Experience with payroll software (e.G., GreytHR, ADP, or similar).
  • Excellent Excel and data management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Experience working with multi-state payroll or in a company with a large workforce.
  • Certification in Payroll Management or Compliance (preferred, not mandatory).
