Senior Director - Technology Risk

Role Overview :

The Senior Director – Technology Risk will lead the technology and cyber risk management function, ensuring effective governance, risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting. The role involves partnering with global and regional stakeholders to align captive risk practices with the group’s enterprise risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the development and execution of the technology risk management framework, policies, and standards across the captive organization.

Establish robust governance mechanisms to monitor and report technology, cybersecurity, and operational resilience risks.

Oversee risk assessments, control testing, RCSA, and scenario analyses across infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies.

Drive initiatives related to business continuity, disaster recovery, and third-party risk management in alignment with regulatory guidelines (e.g., DORA, FFIEC, MAS).

Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Operations, and Group Risk teams to embed a risk-aware culture and ensure effective control implementation.

Liaise with internal audit, regulators, and external auditors to demonstrate strong control environment and timely remediation of findings.

Lead and mentor a high-performing team of risk professionals; build capability around new risk domains such as cloud, AI / ML, and data privacy.

Key Skills & Experience :

20+ years of experience in Technology Risk, Operational Risk, or Cyber Risk Management within a global bank or financial services captive.

Strong knowledge of technology frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, ITIL, CSA).

Hands-on experience with risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), issue management, and risk reporting.

Familiarity with global regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC, PRA, RBI, MAS, EBA).

Experience in managing cross-border stakeholders and influencing at senior leadership levels.

Excellent analytical, communication, and people leadership skills.
