The Job

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct on-site visits to project locations to gather relevant data, collaborate with stakeholders, and understand site-specific requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate P&ID drawings directly at project sites using industry-standard software and tools, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with process engineers, design teams, and project managers to integrate design changes and updates into on-site P&ID documents.
  • Participate in on-site drawing reviews and validation processes to ensure consistency, correctness, and adherence to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage internal and external interfaces, including partner and supplier documentation, to ensure alignment with on-site project objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to multidisciplinary engineering teams during on-site P&ID development activities, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing design solutions as needed.
  • Generate and maintain associated lists, such as piping, equipment, valves, and instrumentation, directly at project sites to support project execution and procurement activities.
  • Participate in on-site risk assessments, hazard studies, and safety reviews to identify and mitigate potential design issues or safety hazards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to on-site P&ID development processes, tools, and standards to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to address on-site engineering change requests, resolve conflicts, and ensure project success.

  • The Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in P&ID design and engineering within the power, petrochemical, sugar and related industry.
  • Proficiency in P&ID software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Aveva Diagrams, or similar applications.
  • Strong understanding of process flow diagrams, equipment symbols, and piping standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and ISA.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
