Role

Own and ship an end-to-end web application—from scoping and architecture to deployment and post-launch iteration. You’ll work primarily in Next.js across the full stack, use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to accelerate delivery, and collaborate with a small team that moves fast.

What you’ll do

  • Take a product brief from zero → v1 : scope, estimate, implement, test, deploy, and monitor.
  • Build frontends with Next.js (App Router), React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind / shadcn / ui.
  • Implement server routes / APIs, integrate databases (e.g., Postgres / Mongo via Prisma / ORM), and wire up auth (Clerk / Auth.js) and RBAC.
  • Own CI / CD, basic infra (Vercel / Render / AWS), and observability (logs, metrics, error tracking).
  • Use AI tools to speed up coding, tests, refactors, and documentation—responsibly and securely.
  • Write clean, well-typed code with thoughtful tests (unit / e2e) and maintainable abstractions.
  • Demo progress weekly; iterate based on user and stakeholder feedback.

Must-have skills

  • Next.js full-stack development with hands-on delivery of at least one complete project (portfolio / GitHub).
  • Ability to own a project end-to-end : scoping, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset; bias to action and clarity in communication.
  • AI-assisted development : practical experience using Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar in day-to-day work.
  • Solid fundamentals : modern React patterns, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, SQL / NoSQL data modeling, Git, debugging, and performance basics.

    • Good-to-have (AI & platform)

  • Experience building AI apps (even small projects) : OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, prompt design, RAG, embeddings / vector DBs (Pinecone / pgvector / Weaviate), LangChain / LlamaIndex.
  • Realtime features (WebSockets), background jobs / queues, caching (Redis), and file processing (PDF / Docx).
  • Security and privacy basics : authN / authZ, OWASP, key management, secrets hygiene.
  • Cloud / devops exposure : Vercel / Render / AWS, Docker, basic networking, CI pipelines.
  • Testing : Jest / Playwright, component testing, contract tests.

  • Organized and detail-obsessed; you keep files, versions, and trackers tidy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup with shifting priorities—and still shipping high-quality work.
