About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in platform development, integrations, and UI / portal customization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, and API integrations, along with solid knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and ServiceNow best practices.

This role demands a balance of technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, and collaboration to deliver scalable, efficient, and user-friendly ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Custom Application Development :

Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications focusing on UI / Portal development using ServiceNow’s UI Builder and Seismic framework to enhance user experience.

Reusable Components :

Build modular, reusable UI components ensuring scalability and maintainability of long-term platform solutions.

Integration Development :

Develop and implement REST API integrations and advanced scripting configurations using ServiceNow Flow Designer to automate and streamline backend processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure smooth end-to-end implementation.

UI / UX Engineering :

Utilize modern JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS / React) to develop responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications on the ServiceNow platform.

Quality Assurance :

Maintain high code quality using modern development tools (IDEs, debuggers, build tools, and source control) and follow object-oriented design principles, data structure optimization, and design patterns.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience : Minimum 4+ years of direct experience as a ServiceNow Application Developer.

Modules : Hands-on experience in at least one ServiceNow application (e.g., ITOM, ITSM, ITAM, SecOps, CSM, SPM, HRSD, GRC).

Core Expertise :

Integration (must-have) – REST API development, attachment transfer, and restricted API handling.

Platform Development – ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, Transformer Maps, and Integration Hub.

Flow Design – Design and automate business workflows.

Service Portal Development – Custom widgets, themes, and user-centric designs using UI Builder.

Scripting Proficiency – Strong JavaScript (client & server-side), Glide API, and Business Rules.

Tools & Practices :

ServiceNow Studio, UI Builder, Workspaces.

Source control systems (Git), CI / CD pipelines, debugging, and code review tools.

Familiarity with best practices in coding, version control, and deployment.

Soft Skills :

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).

Experience with attachment handling and restricted API integration.

Exposure to Transformer Maps, RITM automation, and custom catalog development.
