Inclusive Education Assistant – Personal Care Focus

Location : Cardijn College Marian Campus, Noarlunga Downs

Employment Type : Permanent, 37.5 hours p / week (41 weeks per year)

Classification : ESO – Grade 3

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with additional learning needs? Cardijn College Marian is seeking a compassionate and experienced Inclusive Education Assistant to join our dedicated team.

As a key member of our Inclusive Education Team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with intellectual disabilities and diverse learning needs across Years 7–12. This role is ideal for someone who is not only committed to inclusive education but also brings specialised training and experience in personal care support , including continence care, oral eating and drinking support, and transfer and positioning (TAPS) .

What You’ll Do :

• Provide tailored 1 : 1 and small group support in both classroom and withdrawal settings
• Assist with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt curriculum and assessments
• Support students in high-risk learning areas such as Woodwork, Metalwork, Home Economics, and Science
• Accompany students on excursions and camps
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs)
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with families and allied health professionals
