Title : ABAP Consultant

Experience : 4 yrs +

Location : Hyderabad, India

Job Description :

  • Strong knowledge / experience with SAP ABAP Module.
  • Experienced as SAP ABAP Developer, with extensive experience in Interface / File handlings using standard technology such as RFC, IDOC, Proxy, OData, API, Webservice.
  • Experience in full life cycle implementation projects.
  • Experienced in Smart forms / Adobe forms, complex reports, workflow, BADI, BAPI, & Enhancement Framework and ABAP / Object oriented ABAP Lang / / BRF / WebDynpro
  • ABAP Consultant is accountable for development and ongoing maintenance / enhancements of business systems.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems, define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming designs.
  • Ability to take detailed programming designs and perform the development required to translate them into efficient and accurate code.
  • Capable of effectively communicating with internal and external customers possessing various levels of technical knowledge. Ability to determine the underlying issue when presented with sometimes ambiguous and / or contradictory information; demonstrate good listening skills.
  • Ability to quickly solve / determine problems working with technical / non-technical groups in areas that may not be primary area of expertise.

Technical Responsibilities :

  • Strong understanding of SAP modules required and should be able to translate functional requirements into technical specifications clearly and accurately.
  • Sound understanding and experience in object-oriented design and programming required
  • Strong skills in using ABAP proxy’s, Enhancements, RFC’s (Remote Function Call), Data Dictionary, Dialog Programming, Classical and Interactive Reporting, ALV, Interfaces / Conversions, Smart forms & EDI.
  • Experience integrating SAP systems with external systems through PI or middleware is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment is required.
  • Worked in Agile projects

    • Relevant Years of Experience : 4+ in SAP ABAP (Core), Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

    Must Have Technical Qualifications :

  • Experience in building data transfer objects using standard technology, migrating date from / to 3rd party systems from ECC.
  • Extensive experience in ABAP development, with both custom development and customization to existing processes, including use of IDOCs, ALE, RFC, BAPI, BADI, ALV, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports using OOP ABAP.

    • Nice to Have Qualifications :

  • SAP ABAP Certified
  • Exposure to the following functional areas : MDG, APO, GBT, ATTP, OTC, Source to Supply, WM, PE, MM, APO, EH&S, QM Proficiency in architecture and developing.
  • Knowledge of BTP is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to XML, ITS Mobile Web Services, Service Registry, SOA Manager for creating and changing service end points in WSDL conversions would be an asset.
