Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative packaging solutions aligned with product requirements and consumer preferences.
• Identify and evaluate packaging materials based on product specifications, cost, and sustainability goals.
• Ensure packaging designs comply with safety, labelling, and environmental regulations.
• Manage packaging projects via procurement from manufacturers / vendors to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of packaging prototypes to maintain quality standards.
• Overall Inventory Management of categories handled
• Collaborate with marketing / design teams to implement innovative packaging solutions that enhance product appeal and marketability.
• Oversee inventory of packaging materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely procurement to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory management and minimize waste.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of packaging processes and materials to identify and address any deviations or non-conformities.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization within the packaging department, implementing initiatives to drive operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Collect and analyse data on packaging performance metrics, such as throughput, downtime, and quality metrics, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
