The Engineer – Planning – Site (BIM Modeler) is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate Building Information Models (BIM) for the project and linking them with the construction schedule (4D planning). This role supports visual project planning, simulation of construction sequences, progress visualization, clash detection, and coordination with various stakeholders. It acts as a bridge between digital planning tools and actual site executionto improve efficiency, predictability, and control.
Develop, update, and manage 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP components using tools like Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Civil 3D in line with approved IFC drawings and LOD standards.
Integrate the 3D BIM model with the construction schedule (Primavera P6 or MS Project) to enable 4D simulations and visualize the construction sequence over time.
Coordinate with the planning team to ensure alignment of BIM data with the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activities, and milestone plans.
Conduct regular clash detection using Navisworks. Manage to identify and resolve inter-disciplinary conflicts before execution and support resolution through coordination meetings.
Produce 4D visualizations to communicate work fronts, resource sequencing, and look-ahead schedules to the execution team and clients for better understanding and planning.
Integration of BIM model with analytical tools for effective construction managment.
