Position Overview : An experienced Engineering Lead Design Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design and development of our solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on solar energy systems and project management skills.
Responsibilities :
Tender Documentation & Technical Evaluation
- Preparation of Tender Specifications, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), Design Basis Reports (DBRs), and Technical Specifications.
Electrical Design & Drawings
Development of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), protection schemes, schematic diagrams, logic diagrams, I / O lists, and schedules for EHV / MV / LV systems.Substation Engineering (Up to 220kV AIS / GIS)
Conductor sizing, sag-tension analysis, fault level studies, and development of protection philosophy for substation systems.Electrical Equipment Sizing & Selection
Detailed sizing calculations for CTs, PTs, transformers, switchgear, DC systems, UPS systems, auxiliary systems, MCCs, etc.Electrical Component Design
Cable sizing, cable tray / conduit design, cable tray loading, earthing system, and lighting system design calculations.Power System Studies
Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Motor Starting Studies using ETAP and manual methods.Review of Engineering Layouts & Drawings
Evaluation of Substation General Arrangement (GA), Erection Key Diagrams, Earth Mat Details, Raceway, Lighting, Grounding, and Equipment Layouts.Detailed Design Documentation
Preparation of Cable Schedules, DB Schedules, Inter-Panel Wiring, and other detailed engineering deliverables.Technical Review & Quality Management
Review of technical documents and drawings for compliance with project scope and standards. Implement design improvements and manage quality control processes.Project Meetings & Coordination
Participation in Kick-off Meetings, Progress Reviews, and Technical Coordination Meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.Team Development & Leadership
Mentoring junior engineers, guiding technical development, and promoting teamwork within the engineering group.Knowledge Management
Managing the Lessons Learned Database and implementing feedback for continuous improvement across projects.Qualifications :
Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical)Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on solar energy systems.Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.Proficiency in CAD software, PVsyst and engineering simulation tools.Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with knowledge of photovoltaic technology and solar power generation.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Skills Required
