Department Responsibilities :
- Sales Planning & Target Achievement
- Set, define, and achieve departmental sales objectives in alignment with store goals.
- Develop, communicate, and monitor sales plans, ensuring timely execution.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze sales trends and top-performing categories to support business decisions.
- Merchandising & Visual Standards
- Ensure the floor layout follows Planogram and brand guidelines.
- Ensure merchandise is properly stacked, displayed, and replenished at all times.
- Maintain and update Visual Merchandising (VM) plans to enhance product visibility and customer engagement.
- Coordinate with the VM and merchandising teams to ensure timely implementation of seasonal and promotional displays.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal stock levels to minimize out-of-stock and overstock situations.
- Track Top 5 styles in each sub-department and share insights with the merchandiser.
- Conduct regular stock audits, manage shrinkage, and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and replenishment teams for timely restocking.
- Customer Experience
- Ensure prompt and professional customer service at all times.
- Handle escalations effectively and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Train team members on customer engagement and selling skills.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the department team to achieve operational and sales goals.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability and optimal staff scheduling.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and identify training / development needs of subordinates.
- Drive team performance through continuous feedback and skill enhancement.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure the department is clean, organized, and aligned with safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with store policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Monitor and control shrinkage, ensuring loss prevention measures are followed.
- Conduct regular competition surveys and share actionable insights.
- Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and share reports on sales, inventory, customer feedback, and team performance.
- Coordinate with store management, merchandising, VM, and HR teams for smooth operations.
Required Skills & Competencies :
Strong leadership and team-handling skills (minimum 2 years experience).Good understanding of retail sales, visual merchandising, and inventory processes.Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.High level of ownership, discipline, and operational focus.Preferred Qualifications :
