Role Overview
The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance & Accounts team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, and smooth financial processes. The role requires attention to detail, discipline in maintaining records, and coordination with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in Zoho Books / Accounting software.
- Maintain ledgers, vouchers, receipts, and other financial records.
- Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports and reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documents, and ensure timely payments.o Raise customer invoices, track collections, and follow up for outstanding dues.o Reconcile vendor and customer accounts periodically.Banking & Cash Management
o Prepare and process bank payments, cheques, and online transfers.o Maintain petty cash records and reconcile cash transactions.o Assist in bank reconciliations.Compliance & Documentation
o Assist in GST, TDS, PF, and other statutory compliance workings.o Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory filings.o Support external and internal audits with necessary records.Reporting & Support
o Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.o Support the Finance Manager / Director in budgeting and forecasting activities.o Coordinate with other departments for financial data and clarifications.Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Hands-on experience with Zoho Books and MS Office (Excel essential).Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work with accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness.Qualifications & Experience
Education : B.Com / M.Com / Diploma in Accounting or Finance.Experience : 1–3 years of experience in accounts / finance role (freshers with strong academic background can also be considered).Experience in an education company / startup will be an added advantage.Mandate Kannada & English language proficiencyWhat We Offer
