Position Title : Engineer Quality

Job Description :

Roles & responsibilities :

Work closely with program management and development to understand requirements and design.

Design and review test cases focused on a specific project(s) / component.

Ensure test cases match anticipated customer scenarios.

Effectively prioritize and schedule work and provide accurate quality status.

Clarify quality / risk impact of design change / defect fix.

Raise test estimation / scheduling problems in a timely manner with stakeholders.

Explore automated solutions to testing.

Execute test passes based on software test life cycle and share test pass results.

Develop test scripts by leveraging automation tools and libraries.

Uncover, report and document defects with clear reproduction steps.

Target appropriate test cases / scripts for validation of defect fixes.

Escalate quality issues appropriately and offer solutions.

Use test tools for quality management.

Ability to perform new and existing testing tasks without overly relying on guidance from a manager or mentor.

Develop test plan that is reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders

Incorporate feedback from other disciplines in test plan

Ensure documentation follows standardized procedures and appropriate approval hierarchies

Experience Required :

1-3 years of experience

Experience with authoring and executing test plans.

Knowledge of testing methodologies and processes.

Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (Agile).

Organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Experience uncovering and clearly documenting defects with attention to detail.

Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.

Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training and a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.

JMeter and other performance testing tools

Azure or GCP

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Backend automation sequences.

Various testing tools and frameworks.

Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes.

Performance testing and load testing tools.

Additional skills :

Mobile testing - Appium / Espresso

API - Karate, Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, SoapUI, Wiremock / Mockito

Language - Java, JavaScript or Python

Web Testing - Selenium Cucumber Testing JUnit

Performance - JMeter, Load Runner, K6, Grafana, Selenium, Lighthouse

Accessibility - WAVE, AXE, AccessScan or similar tools

Logging / Monitoring tools - DataDog, Azure Log Analytics, Grafana, AppD

Dashboarding and documentation - Jira and Confluence

Database - MongoDB, SQL and Cassandra
