Job Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable & fault tolerant / resilient data pipelines using Snowflake and other cloud and non-cloud based solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing design standards.
- Build and maintain governance processes to ensure that data in the repository is catalogued; described; owned; maintained; discoverable; controlled (for access and entitlement) - and that changes to data structures are managed via an appropriate process.
- Optimize and refine existing data processes to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with business, analytics team, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure data solutions are aligned with business needs.
- Monitor data pipelines, build and perform data quality & completeness checks, and ensure the best data practices across the organization.
- Provide mentorship and training on Snowflake best practices to junior team members and other stakeholders as and when required.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Snowflake; Immuta; Starburst; AWS Glue and other data engineering technologies.
- Drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project's scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
- Perform advanced quantitative and statistical analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance; Build relationships and leverage subject matter expertise to driving conversations and / or influence decisions / direction with Business and Technology areas
- Effectively communicate with project team members and sponsors throughout the project lifecycle (status updates, gaps / risks, roadblocks, testing outcomes, etc.), Manage Snowflake data sharing, data exchange, and other features specific to the Snowflake ecosystem.
Required Qualifications, skills and Capabilities :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a deep focus on SnowflakeProficiency in SQL and experience with other data pipeline / ETL toolsProven track record in designing and implementing large scale data solutions in a cloud environment.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and best practices (including auditing; logging; cataloging etc)Experience in performance and tuning and optimization of Snowflake.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers, management and stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications, skills and Capabilities :
