Senior Automation SME – Training & Bench Development
Experience : Minimum 10++ Years in Industrial Automation (Pharma Preferred)

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer / SME with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in automation and controls within pharmaceutical plants or industrial process facilities.
The candidate will be responsible for training, coaching, and upgrading internal engineers (bench resources) to make them deployment-ready for client projects .
Experience in PLC, DCS (DeltaV), SCADA, BMS / EMS , and regulated environments is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct training programs on PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems (DeltaV preferred).
- Train and develop bench engineers and new hires for client deployment.
- Prepare training materials, practical labs, and hands-on sessions.
- Assess the readiness of engineers before sending them to client sites.
- Provide support in troubleshooting and simulation training on automation systems.
- Train engineers on pharma equipment automation : granulation, blending, compression, filling, packaging.
- Train engineers on utilities automation : HVAC, AHU, BMS, EMS, WFI, PW, clean steam.
- Guide engineers on GMP, GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance requirements.
- Prepare engineers for FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ / OQ / PQ activities.
- Maintain training documents, attendance sheets, test results, and skill evaluation reports.
- Support the setup of internal training rigs, PLC panels, SCADA stations, and DCS simulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and management regarding training schedules and deployment plans.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Hands-on experience with DeltaV DCS .PLC programming experience with Siemens S7-300 / 400 / 1200 / 1500 and Allen Bradley ControlLogix / CompactLogix.SCADA development experience with WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware / iFix.Good understanding of instrumentation, I / O mapping, field wiring, control loops.Knowledge of automation troubleshooting and root cause analysis.Experience with industrial networks : Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet / IP, OPC UA.PHARMA DOMAIN EXPERIENCE
Experience working in OSD, sterile, biotech, or API plants.Exposure to equipment automation : reactors, blenders, granulators, mixers, filling lines, blister lines.Experience in utilities and facility automation : BMS, EMS, HVAC / AHU, PW, WFI, clean steam.Good understanding of compliance requirements and documentation practices.SOFT SKILLS
Good communication and presentation skills.Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.Strong documentation and reporting discipline.Ability to work independently and in teams.Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.QUALIFICATION
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or related fields.Additional OEM certifications (DeltaV, Siemens, Allen Bradley) preferred.ADDITIONAL NOTES
Should be able to train multiple batches if required.Must be able to prepare engineers for client interviews and technical assessments.Must support the organization in building a strong automation talent pool for deployment.
