Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• 9–15 years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of db2 database versions 10.5, 11.1, 11.5, 12 etc.
• Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 LUW and / or DB2 z / OS database platforms.
• Database Administration – DB2 LUW Support critical production environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like db2top, IBM Data Server Manager.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with DB2 commands : - Stop / Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term & Display utility, others.
• Hands on experience on DB2 utilities : Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load / Unload utilities.
• Ability to bind / rebind the Plans / Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages / Plans / Collections.
• Experience in Database replication – IBM DB2 Data Propagator.
• DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills.
• Must have performed Db2 migration
• Addition and removal of hosts from the cluster manager and shared file system.
• Good communication skills with both technical and management teams
