Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Operations Management :

  • Oversee the entire production process for traditional sweets and snacks from raw material to finished goods.
  • Manage semi-finished materials to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure daily production targets are met without compromising on quality and hygiene standards.
  • Utilize SAP for production order management, material consumption tracking, and inventory reporting.

2. Team Leadership & People Management :

  • Directly supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of sweet masters, production workers, and housekeeping staff.
  • Foster a positive, disciplined, and high-performance work culture.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions on SOPs, safety, and hygiene.

    • 3. Quality, Hygiene & Safety :

  • Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and personal hygiene protocols.
  • Ensure the production area is maintained with the highest level of cleanliness by the housekeeping team.
  • Implement and monitor a robust pest control program in coordination with external agencies.
  • Champion workplace safety; ensure all workers use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.

    • 4. Systems & Process Improvement :

  • Develop, implement, and rigorously follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all production and cleaning activities.
  • Lead waste reduction and cost-saving projects to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Analyze production data from SAP to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.

    • 5. Strategic Contribution :

  • Provide strategic insights to the management on capacity planning, process optimization, and new product trials.
  • Proactively address production challenges with effective and sustainable solutions.

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum : Bachelor's degree
  • Experience : 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a production supervisory role, specifically within a sweets and snacks manufacturing unit.
  • Mandatory : Demonstrated experience in people management, including supervising masters and factory workers.
  • A Significant Plus : Hands-on working experience with SAP in a production or plant maintenance module.
