You’ll work in our Gurgaon office as part of our Global Client Finance practice.
You will act as a finance point of contact for various stakeholders - partners and senior partners, finance managers and directors - and collaborate with other colleagues from the local office and other offices across the globe, as may be required. This collaboration will often help you identify opportunities for alignment and therefore make you the driver of change on a global scale.
You will manage the firm's client engagement economics from client onboarding to managing project to collections and extending support to our global offices from India.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, managing project schedules, maintaining compliance with our internal policies & US GAAP, monthly project audits, financial analytics incl. monthly cost variance reviews & pricing analysis, project billing and collections, with a primary focus to minimize the engagement risks and revenue leakage.
You will build long-term relationships with many stakeholders and act as an expert helping consultants think strategically through their budget plans and partner with them on long-term client programs. You will work closely with project managers to prepare robust financial budgets and forecasts and understanding the financial implications and outcomes of project activities.
You will prepare monthly financial information and analysis for projects to explain actual financial performance to partners and senior partners and where required forecast for subsequent periods. You will track the progress of project activities and milestones to enable appropriate project financial accounting for revenue recognition, cost recognition and billing. If needed, you will address inconsistencies to the partners and senior partners and propose solutions. You will be a one-point contact for partners and senior partners to support onboarding, clients’ agreements, project code creations from finance perspective.
You would be generating invoices and working with partners to ensure client invoices are sent to clients on schedule; also send invoices directly to clients as needed. You will work with partners when client invoices are outstanding past invoice due date. You will also engage with stakeholders as thought partners for problem solving. You will work with partners to ensure that non-standard arrangements (client investments, performance-based arrangements, and deferred billing arrangements) are accounted for properly.
You will work with the finance team members to improve financial management practices and financial awareness across the business. You will evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios, and recommends actions. Additionally, you will research and address all ad hoc partners queries.
Finally, you will perform year-end and any other requisite analytics and reporting and assist in special projects or process improvements projects as may be assigned from time to time.
