About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on

Senior Data Engineer

to help design, build, and scale our client’s modern data infrastructure. You will be responsible for creating the data backbone that supports underwriting, pricing, claims, and fraud analytics across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

Design and evolve the data lake and warehouse architecture.

Ensure data availability, quality, and readiness for analytics, ML, and reporting.

Collaborate with product, analytics, and data science teams on data models.

Optimize systems for scale and near real-time processing.

Implement data governance, lineage, and security practices in compliance with IRDAI.

Stay updated with modern data engineering tools and frameworks.

Must Have

8-12 years of experience in Data Engineering.

Proven expertise in

building data platforms

(ingestion, transformation, storage, access).

Strong hands-on experience with

AWS

(S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift).

Proficiency with

Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Python, SQL.

Solid understanding of

data modeling, ELT / ETL,

and distributed data processing.

Experience with

large-scale datasets

and performance optimization.

Familiarity with

CI / CD, monitoring, and DevOps practices

for data pipelines.

Nice to Have

Experience contributing to

data architecture design .

Exposure to

unstructured data processing

(logs, PDFs, NLP).

Familiarity with

BI tools

(Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

Prior experience in

startup or high-growth environments .
